The VDIAGTOOL brake fluid tester is a reliable and practical tool for checking the condition of your braking system. This device quickly determines the water content of the brake fluid, thus preventing a deterioration of braking performance in time. The 5 LED display clearly shows the result, so no specialized knowledge is needed to interpret it. Its compact size and one-button operation make it ideal for both home and service use. Accurate measurement and immediate feedback contribute to the safe operation of your vehicle.

Usage:

To use, unscrew the brake fluid reservoir cap, then carefully pull off its inspection cover. Dip the pronged end of the brake fluid tester into the fluid, then press the power button at the end of the device. Hold the sensor in the fluid for at least one second until the LED display indicates a reading. After measurement, the device automatically switches off after 15 seconds if not used further. The measurement results can be read directly from the LED colors, allowing for a quick determination of the brake fluid's condition.

Interpreting Results:

• Green: The device is sufficiently charged, or no water is detected in the brake fluid.
• Yellow: Less than 1% water is found in the brake fluid.
• Yellow/Yellow: Approximately 2% water is found in the brake fluid.
• Yellow/Yellow/Red: Approximately 3% water is found in the brake fluid.
• Yellow/Yellow/Red/Red: At least 4% water is found in the brake fluid; the brake fluid must be replaced immediately! Increased danger!

The brake fluid tester operates on 2 LR44 batteries (batteries not included) and its splash-proof design ensures a long lifespan. After each use, it is recommended to rinse the sensor end with clean water and wipe it dry. If the green LED does not light up when switched on, the battery needs to be replaced. Be sure to rinse the affected area with plenty of water if brake fluid comes into contact with skin. Used brake fluid must not be discharged into the environment, as it is highly polluting.
