A brief overview of the operation of the e-toll system
The device is part of a complicated system, but it is intended to facilitate your work and not have to plan a path and a relationship ticket for every way.
In the toll system introduced on July 1, 2013, trucks exceeding 3.5T (J2, J3, J4) can only be used for one, two and three-digit roads for payment. On the same date, the Highway Code has been changed, which is closely linked to the payment of tolls, so let's draw your attention. As of July 1, 2013, vehicles of the above category will not be able to use the lower roads, only in justified cases, with permission (eg target traffic), so be careful because otherwise they can impose a high fine.
Two solutions have been introduced for payment, one is a pre -purchased ticket, which does not require investment, but uncomfortable and on the fly, if the route or towing is changing, there is no change, only to buy, repay or refund. In contrast, the other solution is to pay the road usage fee to achieve its destination in real time using a so -called OBU (on board unit).
The device determines its current position using GPS satellites, which transmits data to the central system on a GSM network.
The central system determines from the position data received on the basis of a complex algorithm, when to cross a fee -free section limit, which is sent to the NSZSZ (National Toll Service Provider Ltd.) system. This is determined not only on the basis of mapping data, but is also influenced by the Toll Act and those described in the NUSZ-ASF, so please study these legislation before using the device. The NSZSZ system calculates the use fee (the data you entered, such as the axis number, the environmental classification) and deduct from your HU-GO balance.
